New Delhi: Navratri is a grand celebration in India, celebrated with devotion, prayers, fasting and love all across the world by the Hindu community. It is also a nine-day fasting period for mindful eating and sacrificing some ingredients to worship the goddess Durga. People do not consume onion, garlic, alcohol, or non-sattvik items during this period. Those keeping fast may also avoid a few other items and consume only sattvik food.

Among the fasting favourites, feasting is also an aspect taking over these days. Kuttu Dosa stands out as a delicious and nutritional option to try this Navratri. Unlike the traditional South Indian dosa, the Navratri version skips rice and dal, instead using buckwheat flour and sometimes potato or samak rice for binding.
