New Delhi: Navratri 2025 has begun with great joy and enthusiasm. This year, the 9-day-long festival started on September 22, 2025, and will end on October 2, 2025. It is celebrated over 9 days with devotion, dance, and vibrant colours. Navratri is dedicated to Maa Durga and her nine different divine forms. Each day of Navratri celebrates one avatar of Maa Durga and is represented by a specific colour, symbolising her unique qualities – from strength to serenity. All these different colours are not just about clothing and fashion. They guide the rituals, connect with our traditions, and celebrate our roots.
If you are like me, celebrating the festival in the office, staring at the laptop, you don’t have to be dejected. You can still bring the festive vibes into your office with your outfits. We have curated a styling guide that blends tradition with professionalism. From subtle kurtas to chic blouses and accessories, here’s how you can nail each colour of Navratri at your workplace.
Day 1 – White
Nothing can go wrong with a crisp white chikankari kurta laced with heavy embroidery and work. Perfect for spreading Navratri vibes and worshipping Maa Shailaputra. Adorn with a heavy jhumka and oxidised jewellery to finish the look.
Day 2 – Bright Red
Celebrate your corporate diva on day 2 of Navratri 2025 with a bright red A-line kurta paired with beige cigarette pants. You can apply smoky eyes and dramatic makeup to balance the look.
Day 3 – Royal Blue
Take inspiration from Maa Chandrghanta on Navratri day 3 and let your outfit speak calmness and strength. Pair a simple blue Anarkali kurta and style it with white palazzo pants for a simple yet elegant look. To add a hint of colour, add pink or redish accessories to elevate your neutral Navratri outfit idea.
Day 4 – Warm Yellow
For day 4 of Navratri 2025, which is dedicated to Maa Kushmanda, the colour yellow is considered auspicious. For a traditional look in the office, style a yellow skirt with subtle work, with a plain white or black tee for a perfect boho chic vibe.
Day 5 – Soft Green
If you want to rock a traditional outfit in the office this Navratri 2025, choose an ethnic green blouse with heavy mirror work. To balance the outfit, pair it with a simple, plain white palazzo or skirt. Style with silver jewellery and you’re ready.
Day 6 – Simple grey
Grey colour is dedicated to Maa Katyayani on the sixth day of Navratri. If you want to stand out with your office outfit on Shasti, you can style a flowy grey kurta that has traditional prints but modern cuts. Pair it with a skirt and a statement maang tikka for a perfect Navratri outfit idea.
Day 7 – Sunny Orange
Day 7 of Navratri is dedicated to honouring a fierce and protective form of Maa Durga – Maa Kalaratri. People consider the colour orange auspicious. Wear a cotton orange saree with simple borders and make a bun with flowers.
Day 8 – Peacock Green
Green peacock is the chosen colour for the eighth day of Navratri, when we worship Maa Mahagauri. On Maha Asthami, you could wear a beautiful, colourful cotton or georgette saree. Go with a minimal makeup look and accessorise well with bangles and earrings.
Day 9 – Pastel Pink
The last day of Navratri is dedicated to Devi Siddhidatri, with pink being the colour of the day. To celebrate this day, you could style a pink salwar kameez and channelise your inner Punjabi kudi. Make a braid and wear big jhumkas for the complete look.
Navratri 2025 is the perfect excuse to refresh your office wardrobe with colours that celebrate tradition. With the right balance of subtlety and vibrance, you can honour the festival while keeping your look professional. This Navratri, let your office wear reflect devotion, positivity, and style
