On Anant Chaturdashi, the idol is immersed, symbolising the eternal cycle of creation and dissolution, as well as the deity’s return to his celestial abode. The ritual, performed at the Shubh Muhurat, symbolises the deity’s return to his abode and the cycle of creation.
