In a fresh controversy, a member of the England cricket team's security staff clashed with a cameraperson of an Australian news channel at the Brisbane airport on Saturday. The incident took place when the England team was preparing to depart for Adelaide for the third Test against the hosts in the ongoing Ashes 2025-26.

An England security staff member was involved in a heated altercation with a cameraman from Channel 7 at the Brisbane airport. In the footage shared by Channel 7, a member of the England security team can be seen pushing a cameraperson, who attempted to move closer to capture the visitors at the airport.

The security member can be heard constantly telling the cameraman to move back as he continues filming. Channel 7 labelled the behaviour of the England security staff 'aggressive' as they aired the footage of the airport altercation. In a picture released by the channel, the security member can be seen pushing the cameraman.

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) is yet to react to the incident, which has sparked another debate in Australia, further spicing up the remainder of the series. The incident comes at a crucial juncture for England as they are struggling to save the series after back-to-back defeats in the first two Test matches.

England face must-win situation in 3rd Test

England are in a must-win situation heading into the third Test in Adelaide, which is set to get underway on Wednesday, December 17. England are trailing 2-0 behind in the five-match series after consecutive defeats in the first two games. Australia thrashed the visitors by 8 wickets in both matches.

England need to win or draw the third Test in Adelaide to keep the series alive as the hosts are only one win away from clinching the Ashes. The Ben Stokes-led visitors have been heavily criticised for their poor approach and standards in the series so far, with Australia dominating the proceedings in the first two Tests.

Despite missing the likes of Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood, Australia performed exceptionally well in the first two Tests to take a 2-0 lead in the series. England head coach Brendon McCullum said his team was 'overprepared' after their defeat in the 2nd Test in Brisbane, leading to intense criticism.

Stokes & Co. are under immense pressure heading into the third Test, while Australia will be riding high on confidence. The Aussies have been further boosted by the return of their regular skipper Pat Cummins, who will make his comeback in the third Test in Adelaide and take over captaincy from Steve Smith.
