Healy ton sinks Bangladesh as Australia march into Womens World Cup semis

New Delhi: Skipper Alyssa Healy's unbeaten 113 helped Australia thump Bangladesh by 10 wickets to become the first team to progress to the semi-finals of the Women's ODI World Cup in Visakhapatnam on Thursday.
It was Healy's second century on the trot, having scored 142 in their previous match against India on October 12 at the same venue.
Healy's knock needed only 77 balls while her opening partner made Phoebe Litchfield remained unbeaten 84 as Australia easily chased down the target of 199 with more than 25 overs to spare.
The defending champions reached 202 for no loss in 24.5 overs for their fourth victory in five matches, with the odd match getting abandoned.
Tight bowling
Earlier, Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bat but were unable to score freely against the seven-time champions as Shobana Mostary top scored with 66 runs off 80 deliveries with nine boundaries.
It was the highest individual score by a Bangladeshi batter against Australia in women's cricket, and together with Rubya Haider (44 off 59, 8x4) they did bulk of the scoring.
Rest of the Bangladesh batter's struggled to get going against the disciplined bowling of the Aussies, who made rotation of strike difficult.
Leg-spinner Alana King (2/18), Annabel Sutherland (2/41), Ashleigh Gardner (2/49) and Georgia Wareham (2/22) majority of the wickets between them.
