New Delhi: In a heartening gesture, legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar met the T20 Blind women's World Cup champion team in Mumbai on Wednesday. The Indian women's blind team made the entire country proud after they clinched their first-ever Blind T20 World Cup last month after defeating Nepal women by 7 wickets in the final game of the tournament.

The side had an extraordinary outing in the entire event and days after their historic achievement, their impressive World Cup win was made even more special by the Master Blaster who interacted with the entire contingent making them happy. He also gave them his autograph and shook hands with each of the team members praising them for their exceptional work.

The meeting turned out to be extra special as Tendulkar's praise made the day for the side which worked very hard all through for the final glory. The meeting between the former Indian captain and blind team was scheduled at the MIG Cricket Club in Mumbai where the legendary cricketer spent a long time with the champions hailing them for their massive achievement.

In the meeting, which lasted for nearly an hour, the players shared their journey with the cricket legend who laude them by saying that the achievement would be a forever glory in the history of Indian cricket. After meeting Tendulkar, the blind team said that they were way too elated as it was dream come true for them. Skipper Deepika TC also said that they would take Indian cricket to greater heights..

'Meeting Sachin sir was like a dream come true. We have always played with passion and belief, but hearing words of encouragement from him has touched our hearts deeply. This moment will stay with us for life and will motivate us to work even harder and carry Indian cricket to greater heights,' she said.
