Shaheen Shah had a forgetful debut for Brisbane Heat in the Big Bash League (BBL) on Monday as he was removed from the attack for dangerous bowling against Melbourne Heat in Geelong. The Pakistan pacer was sent off after bowling two waist-high full tosses in the 18th over of Melbourne Renegades' innings.

Afridi made his debut for the Heat in the game after they won the toss and opted to bowl first. The Pakistan pacer was brought into the attack in the second over and conceded 9 runs off it. The left-arm speedster was then brought back in the 13th over, where he ended up giving away 19 runs.

Afridi's nightmarish debut took a turn for the worse when he ended up getting removed from the attack after bowling two dangerous no-balls in the 18th over. He bowled a beamer to Tim Seifert and another one to Ollie Peake to be forced out of the attack. Afridi bowled a total of three no-balls and gave away 17 runs before getting sent off.

Heat captain Nathan McSweeney bowled the final two deliveries to complete the over after Afridi was sent off. It was a horror debut for the Pakistan pacer, who finished with abysmal figures of 43/0 off his 2.4 overs as the Renegades posted a big total of 212/5 on the board in 20 overs.

Along with Afridi, his Pakistan teammate Mohammad Rizwan also made his debut for Melbourne Renegades in the game. The Pakistan batter also flopped on his debut as he was dismissed cheaply on just 4 off 10 balls after coming out to bat at no.3. Rizwan was dismissed by Patrick Dooley in the 7th over of Renegades' innings.

Melbourne Renegades beat Brisbane Heat by 14 runs

New Zealand batter Tim Seifert starred for Melbourne Renegades as they defeated Brisbane Heat by 14 runs in the game. Opening the innings with Josh Brown, Seifert smashed a stunning knock of 102 off 56 balls, laced with 9 fours and six sixes to help Renegades post a big total of 212 runs on the board.

In reply, Brisbane Heat were restricted to 198/8 despite half-centuries from opener Colin Munro (55) and Jimmy Peirson (50). Captain Will Sutherland did well with the ball for the Renegades as he finished with figures of 3/33 off his 4 overs, while pacer Jason Behrendorff and Gurinder Sandhu picked up two wickets each.
