In-form Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma practice hard for second South Africa ODI in Raipur - Watch
Both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were seen practicing hard ahead of the second ODI against South Africa in Raipur on Wednesday.
New Delhi: Senior batters Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were seen practicing hard on Tuesday ahead of the second ODI match against South Africa in Raipur. With a 1-0 lead in the 50-over series, India would be aiming for a series-clinching victory when they lock horns with the Proteas in the most crucial match on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the entire Indian contingent travelled to Raipur where they were welcomed by fans in large numbers. Several videos and photos went viral on social media where the Men in Blue were firstly seen at the airport followed by the Raipur hotel and then the cricket stadium where they went in for a practice session.
During Team India's practice session, the entire focus remained on the veteran duo of Rohit and Kohli who were seen practicing hard for the second match on December 3. Videos and pictures from Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium were seen in abundance on social media which captured the entire essence of the full-fledged practice held on Tuesday.
In one of the videos that went viral on social media platform X, Kohli's intention looked clear as he was seen smashing big hits with an aim to work more on his six-hitting ability. Kohli is looking to get back to his old self as it was visible in the first ODI in Ranchi where he took the crowd by storm with his flawless big hits.

In the other video, another veteran Rohit Sharma was also seen in the same mood as that of Kohli as the former India captain was also on a six-hitting spree in the net practice session. Rohit, who smashed a blistering half-century in the Ranchi ODI, would be aiming to convert it into a big score in the the second match.

Meanwhile, both the veteran players have decided to participate in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Earlier, it was learnt that Kohli will not play in the upcoming tournament but now it has been learnt that he will represent Delhi while Rohit would play for Mumbai.
