India vs Pakistan HIGHLIGHTS, Asia Cup 2025: The Men in Blue beat Pakistan by 7 wickets at the Dubai International Stadium. Another easy chase for Team India in the Asia Cup 2025. Pakistan bowlers failed to take early wickets, and 128 was always going to be tough to defend.
Abhishek Sharma cleared his intentions from the first ball as he charged Shaheen and hit him straight down the ground for four. The tone was set for the chase, and even though India lost three wickets, the Men in Blue were in the driver's seat throughout the match.
After the dismissal of Abhishek and Gill, Suryakumar stitched a 56-run partnership for the third wicket with Tilak Varma. He then forged a match-winning partnership with Shivam Dube as the Men in Blue finished the match in 15.5 overs.
Earlier, Pakistan lost a couple of early wickets as Hardik and Bumrah removed Ayub and Haris in the first two overs. After that, Sahibzada Farhan and Fakhar Zaman managed to rebuild and stitched a 39-run partnership for the third wicket.
But Axar Patel struck twice in two overs before Kuldeep picked up two wickets in the same over, which derailed Pakistan's innings. They tried to play aggressive shots but failed to find a way to score consistently. At one point, 100 runs seemed difficult, but some clean and sensational hitting from Shaheen helped Pakistan to post a 128-run target on the board.
He scored an unbeaten 33 runs off 16 balls, smashing four maximums. Kuldeep took three wickets while Bumrah and Axar picked up two wickets each. There were 63 dot balls in total, which could be match-defining. India will take on Oman in their next game in Abu Dhabi on September 19.
