Jerseys of various teams

It is further being learnt that the jerseys were of different teams but surety about whether the kits were for the players or public is still not there. The guard got in touch with an online dealer from Haryana on social media and sold the jerseys to the same man. The theft took place on June 13 but it came to the limelight when an audit showed that the stock of 2025 IPL was missing from the room.

When the BCCI officials found that the stock was missing, they checked the CCTV footage just to find the security guard leaving with the jerseys in a box. During interrogation, he hasn't revealed how much he got for the deal claiming that he went into an argument with the dealer. Haryana police has also got into action and the online dealer has been summoned by them for investigation.

The security guard had couriered the jerseys to the dealer. Out of the total 261 jerseys that were stolen, 50 of them have been recovered with the culprit saying that he got the money from online dealer straight into his bank account. It is also being learnt that he has left no money with him and everything has been lost in online gambling.
