Indian women's cricket team stars have witnessed their brand value rise after India's maiden Women's World Cup triumph. Jemimah Rodrigues' endorsement fee has seen a 100% rise after India's triumph.
The brand value of Indian women's team stars has soared dramatically after India's maiden ODI World Cup triumph. India defeated South Africa in the final on Sunday to end the country's long-standing ICC title drought in women's cricket. Harmanpreet & Co. have become the toast of the nation after their historic win and continue to garner praise from all corners.
The historic World Cup victory could be the '83' moment for women's cricket in India and pave the way for tremendous growth in the coming years. The memorable triumph will also witness the rise of new role models for the younger generation as the likes of Harmanpreet, Smriti Mandhana, Jemimah Rodrigues, and Shafali Verma become part of India's glorious sporting history.
The World Cup victory has already led to an increase in the popularity of the Indian women's cricketers on social media, with reports suggesting that their brand endorsement fee has also increased by almost 25% to 100%. As per a report in the Economic Times, the likes of Rodrigues, Mandhana, and Harmanpreet have seen their followers increase by multiple folds on social media.
The report adds that the brand endorsement enquiries have also increased, with agencies getting flooded with demands for Indian women's cricket team stars. "Since this morning, there's been a rush of brand queries-not just new endorsements but also renegotiations, with fee increases upwards of 25-30%," Tuhin Mishra, Managing Director of Baseline Ventures, was quoted as saying by Economic Times.
As per the report, Indian women's team star Rodrigues' brand value has doubled after she played a starring role in India's memorable World Cup triumph. Rodrigues slammed a sensational knock of unbeaten 127 to help India beat seven-time champions Australia in the semi-finals after pulling off a record chase.
"We've been flooded with requests almost immediately after the match against Australia was completed. We're in conversation with brands across 10-12 categories," said Karan Yadav, the Chief Commercial Officer at JSW Sports, the agency that manages Jemimah Rodrigues.
As per the report, Jemimah is currently charging a brand endorsement fee in the range of Rs 75 lakh to Rs 1.5 crore, depending on the deliverables and the duration of the contract. However, she still isn't the highest-paid female cricketer in India.
Smriti Mandhana remains the highest-paid Indian women's team star
As per the report, Smriti Mandhana continues to lead the charge when it comes to brand value among women's cricketers in the country. The star batter is the highest-paid female cricketer in India, with an impressive portfolio of brands. Mandhana endorses as many as 16 brands, including SBI, Nike, Hyundai and Gulf Oil.
Mandhana has been one of the most consistent performers for the Indian women's cricket team over the past few years and is also a strong contender to replace Harmanpreet as India's next captain across formats.
Mandhana played a key role in India's 2025 Women's ODI World Cup triumph with 434 runs in 9 matches at an impressive average of 54.25 and a strike rate close to 100, including two fifties and a solitary century. She finished as the second-highest run-getter in the tournament behind South Africa skipper Laura Wolvaardt, who enjoyed a dream tournament with 571 runs in 9 matches.
