Tendulkar has highest score of 248 not out and has also smashed 51 centuries and 68 half-centuries in the format, which is also in the record books. With an average of close to 54 in Tests, the 'God of cricket' holds the record for the most centuries in the format. In the 2010 calendar year, when he was in a fine form, Tendulkar scripted the record of scoring the most runs in one year in Tests.
The Indian cricketer smashed 1562 runs in total to set a new record. Additionally, Tendulkar also holds a record of scoring most runs in away Test matches with 8705 runs in his kitty. At his favourite batting position of number four in Tests, Tendulkar holds the record of the most runs scored by a player at a particular batting position in red-ball cricket. The right-handed batter scored 13408 runs out of the total 15921 runs at number 4.
Out of his favourite teams against which Tendulkar has scored the most runs in Tests are Australia and England. The greatest batter in the world has scored maximum of his Test runs against the two powerhouses of the game. Against the Aussies, he has scored 3630 runs while against the English side, he holds a record of scoring 2535 runs.
