New Delhi: India will tour Australia for the white-ball series, starting from October 19. The Men in Blue will play a three-ODI match series followed by a five-match T20I series. Shubhman Gill became the new ODI skipper, replacing Rohit Sharma. The selectors are seeing Gill as the all-format captain.

Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) is buzzing for the Asia Cup-winning side to take on the hosts in the second T20I match on October 31. Despite India not having renowned names like Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in the next generation T20I team, the MCG's tickets have been officially sold out before two weeks.

After a successful Asia Cup campaign, Shubman Gill, Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, and Hardik Pandya are ready to carry the baton after Kohli and Rohit's retirement. Indian management is grooming Gill as the next star by giving him responsibilities early in his career.

Cricket Australia confirmed that 1,75,000 tickets have been sold till now for the eight white-ball games. Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) and Manuka Oval's tickets have been sold out, whereas Adelaide and Gabba have been left with some number of tickets.

It will most probably be confirmed that Rohit and Kohli will be touring Australia for the last time, as their ODI careers are in danger, with chief selector Ajit Agarkar revealing that both players have to perform on merit and will be treated as normal players.

India squad for Australia T20I series

Suryakumar Yadav will lead the T20I team once again after a successful campaign in the Asia Cup 2025. The selectors have kept the core players in the squad, with just Hardik Pandya opting out of the side due to an injury. Nitish Kumar Reddy replaced him in the squad.

Except for him, the selectors retained all the players from the Continental Cup squad and just added Washington Sundar as the 16th player in the squad. Suryakumar will be looking to regain his form, as he is coming from a disastrous show in the Asia Cup 2025.

Indian squad: Suryakumar Yadav (c), Shubhman Gill (vc), Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, Shivam Dube, Rinku Singh, Sanju Samson, Jitesh Sharma, Washington Sundar, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Axar Patel, Varun Chakarvarthy, Kuldeep Yadav, Harshit Rana, Arshdeep Singh, and Jasprit Bumrah.
