After Pakistan's shattering defeat in their group-stage match against Suryakumar Yadav-led India in the Asia Cup 2025 on Sunday, a dejected Pakistani fan came up with a hilarious request for the Indian team. India hammered Pakistan by 7 wickets at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai to bag their second win in a row in the tournament and qualify for the Super Four stage of the tournament.

A ruthless India outplayed Pakistan across all departments to romp off to a stunning victory. The Men in Blue produced an emphatic bowling display to restrict Pakistan to a paltry 127/9 in 20 overs, before the batters made light work of the target. India completed the run chase with 25 balls to spare to secure a thumping victory.

India outclass Pakistan in Asia Cup 2025

It was yet another drab performance from Pakistan in the much-awaited clash as India dominated the proceedings from the onset in Dubai. After inviting Pakistan to bat first, India got off to a flyer as Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah struck in their respective first overs to leave the Men in Green reeling on 5/2 in the 2nd over.

Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel then combined to run through the middle order as Pakistan could only manage 127/9 in 20 overs. Fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi was by far the most impressive batter for Pakistan on a day where their top and middle order disappointed. Afridi's unbeaten 16-ball 33 cameo towards the end helped Pakistan post a respectable total on the board.

In reply, India got off to a strong start in the run chase as opener Abhishek Sharma went after the Pakistan bowlers from the word go. Despite losing his opening partner, Shubman Gill, cheaply on 10, Abhishek continued his attacking intent and scored a quickfire 31 off just 13 balls to set the tone for India.

Skipper Suryakumar Yadav scored an unbeaten 47 and combined with Tilak Varma (31) to share a 56-run stand for the third wicket and take India home comfortably with 25 balls and 7 wickets to spare. India will now take on Oman in their final group-stage game in the Asia Cup 2025.
