Bihar captain Sakibul Gani went bonkers as he slammed a 32-ball ton in his side's clash against Arunachal Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy on Wednesday. Vaibhav Suryavanshi hammered a stunning 190-run knock in the game.
Records tumble left, right and centre as Bihar batters went all guns blazing against Arunachal Pradesh in their opening match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy Plate division at the JSCA Oval Ground in Ranchi on Wednesday, December 24. Bihar captain Sakibul Gani slammed a ton off just 32 balls, the fastest by an Indian in List A history, while Vaibhav Suryavanshi hammered a stunning knock of 190 runs to power Bihar to a staggering total of 574/6 in 50 overs, the highest in List A history.
After a setback in the recently concluded U19 Asia Cup final against Pakistan, Suryavanshi responded to his critics in style with a blazing ton against Arunachal Pradesh in Bihar's Vijay Hazare Trophy Plate clash. He notched up his hundred off just 36 balls, which was the second-fastest List A ton by an Indian at the time.
However, it became the third-fastest by the end of Bihar's innings as Gani smashed a century in a record 32 deliveries in the match. Nonetheless, Suryavanshi was in destructive mode with the bat as he took the Arunachal bowlers to the cleaners. His 190-run knock came off just 84 balls and was laced with a staggering 16 sixes and 15 fours.
