Suryavanshi to skip Vijay Hazare Trophy after opening the tournament in style
He arrives in the national capital on the back of an astonishing knock of 190 runs off just 84 balls in Bihar's record-breaking innings against Arunachal Pradesh on Wednesday. The sensational knock was another testament to his fierce reputation as one of the most explosive batters in the domestic circuit.
The 36-ball century made the 14-year-old the youngest player to score a century in men's List A cricket
Suryavanshi has been on an outstanding run this season with seven centuries across all three formats in 2025. However, Suryavanshi won't be able to add more runs to his tally this year as he will miss the rest of the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
After the Prime Minister's National Children's Award ceremony, the explosive southpaw is expected to link up with the remainder of the India U19 squad and travel to Zimbabwe to prepare for the upcoming World Cup, which commences on January 15.
