Team India enjoyed a relaxed evening ahead of the second and most crucial ODI match against Australia in Adelaide scheduled on October 23, Thursday.
New Delhi: Team India enjoyed a relaxed evening ahead of the second and most crucial ODI match against Australia in Adelaide scheduled on October 23, Thursday. Indian stars Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and skipper Shubman Gill were in attendance as Men in Blue's dinner at a popular Indian restaurant coincided with the festive Diwali celebrations.
Australia's Channel 7 shared some photos and videos on social media handle X where the Indian players were seen stepping out of the team bus and getting into the popular eatery. All the players were seen in a relaxed mood ahead of the Adelaide ODI which is a do or die match for them after losing the series opener in Perth.
While Kohli was seen wearing a black shirt and grey jeans paired with a cap, Rohit opted for a simple black T-shirt. Apart from Kohli, Rohit and Gill, vice-captain Shreyas Iyer, Washington Sundar, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Arshdeep Singh and pacer Mohammed Siraj were the other players seen in the photos and videos which were viral on social media.

However, head coach Gautam Gambhir and other members of the support staff were not seen in the online pictures and were believed to have skipped the dinner. The video of the Australian broadcaster circulated online also gave a glimpse of the the restaurant where different pictures of different cricketers were seen. Kohli's picture with wife Anushka Sharma was also placed on a wall as the Team Indian star is believed to have visited the eatery earlier also.
The Australian broadcaster got in touch with the owner of the restaurant, Suman Visanthim, who said that it was pure pleasure hosting the Indian cricket team. He further said that the players wanted more of a homestyle experience than a restaurant experience so whenever they visit, we try to cook homestyle food for them.
