Bruno Fernandes completed 100 goals for Manchester United across all competitions after scoring the club's opener against Chelsea in the Premier League on Saturday.
Bruno Fernandes scored against Chelsea to achieve a major personal milestone for Manchester United in the Premier League on Saturday. Fernandes scored the opening goal for United in their clash against Chelsea at Old Trafford to complete 100 goals for the club across all competitions.
The United skipper has been one of the leading goal contributors for the club ever since his arrival in January 2020. Making his 200th Premier League appearance for United in their clash against Chelsea at Old Trafford on Saturday, Fernandes scored in the 14th minute to reach the 100-goal milestone.
He got on the end of a headed cross from defender Patrick Dorgu and slotted it past Chelsea keeper Filip Jorgensen to give United the lead. Fernandes became only the 19th player to complete 100 goals for Manchester United across competitions, joining an elite list featuring the likes of Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo, George Best and Bobby Charlton, among others.
That he has managed to achieve the feat as a midfielder makes his achievement even more special. He has been a key player for United ever since joining the club from Sporting Lisbon five years back and has had an impressive number of goal involvements, including assists, to be among the top creators for the club.

Fernandes also became only the 5th player to score on his 200th Premier League appearance for Manchester United. Denis Irwin, Phil Neville, Wayne Rooney, and Antonio Valencia are the other four players to have scored for United in their 200th appearance for the club. Bruno, 31, has won one FA Cup and a League Cup title with United since joining the club in 2020.
