Apple iPhone 17 Air battery, design and camera leaked ahead of launch
The upcoming iPhone 17 Air is tipped to feature a slim design with a 2,900mAh L-shaped battery and steel casing for better heat management. It may come with a 6.6-inch display, A19 chipset, and 48MP rear camera.
The next model of iPhone, the 17 Air, is already a hot topic, as a new leak provides details about the battery and design. Posted by Majin Bu, this information indicates that the iPhone 17 Air will have a smaller and streamlined battery, as the brand name of the Air products implies. The phone may have a 2,900 mAh cell, but its emphasis is on being thin and not on having a huge battery.
Also, the battery could be enclosed in a steel case, like the iPhone 16 Pro, and that could assist in better heat management and battery density. Leaked images also point to an L-shaped battery design, which is perhaps to accommodate the smaller internal logic board. Apple is also likely to come up with new adhesives on the battery to enhance easy replacements.

The iPhone 17 Air could also be made of aluminium, according to analyst Jeff Pu of Haitong International, and have a lighter build than the titanium-based Pro versions. It is rumoured to sport a 6.6-inch display, which is a suitable size that will not make the phone bulky. The design is reported to be completely new and conform to the Apple trend of more sleek and slimmer designs.
