Apple is preparing to host a much-anticipated event in September, and everyone is focused on the new iPhone 17 line. This year, the company expected to release four devices: iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Air, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max. Of note is that the Air model will substitute the Plus model, with a thinner and lighter design. All the devices will be having special features, new designs, and enhanced performance to capture various price points in the Indian market.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max will be the top-end version, whereas the iPhone 17 will be the entry-level device. Following the Pro models will be significant design changes, including a new rectangular camera island, and the Air will be the thinnest phone in the world at 5.5 mm. All four models will presumably operate on iOS 26, and Apple will introduce the latest A19 chipsets, which are likely to deliver a great increase in performance.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max may be launched in India at a price of Rs 164,999 with a 6.9-inch screen and five colour variants: dark blue, orange, white, grey and black. The iPhone 17 Pro may possibly begin at Rs 134,999 with a 6.3-inch screen and identical colour options. The iPhone 17 Air may most probably have a price tag of Rs 99,900 with a 6.6-inch screen and four colours: purple, light blue, green, and light gold. In the meantime, the base model of the iPhone 17 may cost Rs 89,900 and have a 6.3-inch screen.
The Pro models may feature a striking design transformation, as they feature a rectangular camera island that spans across the back. Both are to be equipped with a triple rear camera system with a 48MP main lens, a 48MP ultra-wide lens, and a 48MP periscope telephoto lens. iPhone 17 Air may have a Pixel-like camera island that has only a single 48MP sensor, whereas the regular iPhone 17 may have a dual camera system consisting of a 48MP primary sensor and a 12MP ultra-wide lens. All four models may have a 24MP front camera to make selfies as well as video calls.
The iPhone 17 Pro Max and 17 Pro may be equipped with the A19 Pro chipset that will have 12GB RAM. They will also be powered by a ProMotion OLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. On the one hand, the iPhone 17 Air and regular iPhone 17 will be powered by the A19 chip and have 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Both will also have 120Hz ProMotion OLED displays. All four devices will come with iOS 26, which will add new features in the software to improve user experience.
