Apple Q3 earnings soar: iPhone sales hit $44.5 billion, boosted by China
Apple reported $94 billion in revenue for Q3 2025, marking a 10% year-over-year increase. iPhone sales soared to $44.5 billion, boosted by strong demand in China.
Apple has recorded a good third quarter of fiscal year 2025, generating $94 billion in revenue, which is 10 percent higher than the third quarter of last year. Its net profit was increased by 12 percent year-over-year to $23.4 billion, and the earnings per share were $1.60. This was mainly as a result of the tremendous increase in the sales of iPhones, which surpassed the expectations of the market.
iPhone alone has been reported to have made an income of $44.5 billion in the quarter of June 28 as compared to the Wall Street estimates of $40 billion and the preceding year of $39.3 billion. This output strengthens the idea that the iPhone is the most worthy product of Apple and a core element in its business strategy.
China iPhone sales see unexpected boost
The major positive of the quarter was the revival of iPhone sales in China. The region earned the company revenue of $15.3 billion, compared to revenue of $14.7 billion in Q3 2024. The revival is following months of poor sales in the Chinese market, an indication that there will be new interest in the purchase of the Apple gadget.
Other segments show mixed results
Although the total sales of Apple were boosted by iPhone and Mac sales, not every category delivered the same results. The revenue of Mac increased by 15 percent to $8.05 billion. The iPad sales also decreased by approximately 8 percent to reach $6.6 billion. Apple services topped at a record of $27.4 billion, which is 13 percent growth due to increased subscriptions, cloud services, and the App Store.
Deliberating on the place of AI in the strategy of Apple, Tim Cook stated that the iPhone will be the company's core product. It is hard to imagine a world where the iPhone does not exist in it, and Apple AI-powered assistants will only complement, but not replace, the current hardware products of the company, he said.
