Battlefield 6 is officially releasing on October 10, 2025, across major platforms. Ahead of launch, a major leak has revealed the full battle royale map called Lyndon Beach with 9 main POIs and 29 smaller areas. Reports suggest the battle royale mode may launch separately in early 2026.

New Delhi: The countdown has begun. Battlefield 6, the next entry in the long-running shooter series, is officially dropping on October 10, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. But even before the game hits shelves, its rumoured battle royale mode is already grabbing attention.

While EA is staying silent for now, multiple leaks over the past few months have hinted that a standalone battle royale experience is in the works. And now, new map details are spilling out thanks to reliable dataminer Temporyal, with the entire map, reportedly called Lyndon Beach, surfacing online.

Temporyal dropped a detailed mockup of the upcoming battle royale map, showing off its nine main Points of Interest (POIs) and 29 smaller locations. The main POIs include:

  • Marina
  • Lighthouse
  • Main Street North
  • Main Street South
  • Gold Resort
  • The Valley
  • South Coast
  • Fort Lyndon
  • The Docks

Smaller locations like Crash Site, Angel Beach, and Military RnD hint at a mix of scenic coastlines and combat zones. There's even an Underground Military Spill Off North which sounds straight out of a tense final circle showdown.

When will Battlefield 6 Battle Royale release?

While the main Battlefield 6 game is locked for October, the battle royale mode seems to be running on a separate timeline.

According to content creator RivaLxfactor on X, "Battlefield 6’s battle royale mode will not only be free to play but won’t come out till months after the base game.” He added, "Things are subject to change between now and then.”

This lines up with earlier reports from Insider Gaming, who had first reported back in early 2024 that the battle royale mode would launch separately from the main title.

What else we know

There’s no official price reveal yet, but if Battlefield 6 sticks to recent AAA trends, expect it to cost around $70, or roughly ₹5,950 or more in India. The battle royale mode, as mentioned, is expected to be free-to-play.

It’s not the first time Battlefield has tried going head-to-head with games like Warzone or Apex. But with the pressure mounting and leaks flying, it looks like EA is gearing up for a big comeback. Or at least hoping for one.

Till then, all eyes are on October 10. Let’s just hope there are fewer bugs this time around.
