Google Gemini now offers free full-length SAT practice tests for students
Google has launched free, full-length SAT practice tests inside its Gemini AI assistant, allowing students to prepare directly within the chatbot. The tests are built using vetted content from The Princeton Review and offer instant feedback with detailed performance insights.
New Delhi: Gemini is now offering students the opportunity to take full-length SAT practice tests free of charge, which is the latest move by the company in the educational technology sphere. It was announced at the British Educational Training and Technology (BETT) conference, in which Google presented new AI-driven tools that would assist students and educators at all levels of learning.
The new feature will enable the students to have on-demand SAT practice exams on Gemini at no cost. According to Google the tests are designed so as to resemble the actual exam experience and the students can get ready better to face one of the most significant standardized exams in the college admissions process.
Free, full-length SAT practice inside Gemini
Google affirmed that students are able to begin a practice test by merely informing Gemini, "I want to take a practice SAT test”. After completion, the AI will offer detailed feedback in real-time and present the strengths, weak points, and areas that require further focus. The preparation process can also be more interactive and personalized with students asking Gemini to explain answers that they got wrong.
Partnering with The Princeton Review for Accuracyt
Google has collaborated with The Princeton Review so that it could have a high quality and reliability of the practice exams of the SAT using its strictly-vetted content. The company says that this curriculum gives students not merely practice in questions, but work with something that would be very similar to what they will encounter during the actual test day.
Gemini assists students in recognizing the areas of knowledge deficiency after each test and converts these findings into a personalized learning plan. Google claims that this strategy is aimed at increasing confidence and making the process of preparation more purposeful, regardless of whether it is the initial time a student has to take the SAT test or is intending to do it again.
AI’s growing role in education
The SAT practice exams are not the only aspect of the increased integration of AI into the field of education. Study aids such as flashcards, quizzes, and note summaries are already supported on Gemini, but Khan Academy Writing Coach will be supported as well. Nevertheless, the usage of AI in educational settings and self-study is still on the rise regardless of the apprehensions of educators, and the companies compete to provide smarter and more personalized learning resources.
