Made by Google 2025: Biggest reveals from Pixel 10 launch event
Google unveiled the Pixel 10 series, Pixel 10 Pro Fold, Pixel Watch 4, and new Pixel Buds at its annual Made by Google 2025 event. The lineup features the Tensor G5 chipset, seven years of updates, and deep Gemini AI integration across devices.
During its annual Made by Google event, the company announced its tenth-generation Pixel range of products and other new devices and smart upgrades with artificial intelligence. The company launched seven new products, such as smartphones, wearables, and earbuds, as well as increased its interest in artificial intelligence.
Although a lot of the lineup was leaked ahead of time, Google did still take many fans by surprise with some features that were not previously revealed. The event featured how AI-enabled photo coaching will help people capture and edit better photos, as well as smarter assistants throughout the various apps of the Pixel devices.
Pixel 10 Series smartphones
The new lineup is crowned by the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, and the Pixel 10 Pro XL. The three phones are powered by the Tensor G5 chipset and come with Android 16 out of the box and will receive seven years of operating system and security updates. Pixel 10 comes with a 6.3-inch OLED display, 3 rear cameras and 5x optical zoom, and Qi2-certified Pixel Snap wireless charging. It retails at Rs 79,999.
The Pixel 10 Pro goes a step further with 16GB RAM, more storage space, a 50MP main camera, and better durability offered by the IP68 certification. It can be purchased at Rs 109,999. In the meantime, the Pixel 10 Pro XL has a larger 6.8-inch LTPO OLED panel and costs Rs 124,999. Each of the three smartphones will have a one-year free Google AI Pro subscription.
Pixel 10 Pro Fold
Google also revealed Pixel 10 Pro Fold, a folding smartphone that can compete with Samsung Galaxy Z Fold. It sports a 6.4-inch cover screen and an 8-inch main display, which is supported with a better hinge and thinner bezels. A Google foldable has an IP68 dust and water resistance rating the first time. The device runs on the Tensor G5 and comes with sophisticated Gemini AI tools. This has been priced at $1799 in the US, and India pricing is awaited.
Pixel Watch 4
The Pixel Watch 4 boasts of the new Google Actua 360 display, which has a brighter screen and thinner bezels. It is powered by Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 and includes an ML-powered co-processor, and the display and battery are replaceable, a first in the product. More personalised tracking is made possible with AI-driven health, fitness, and sleep coaches on the smartwatch. The device begins at 349 dollars.
Pixel Buds 2a and Pixel Buds Pro 2
Google launched two new audio devices. The Pixel Buds 2a with the Tensor A1 chip have active noise cancellation, long battery life, and FindHub integration and cost $129. The Pixel Buds Pro 2, at $229, adds head-gesture controls to make and receive calls, has more microphones, and ups ANC. They also complement Pixelsnap charging and have six colours to choose from.
PixelSnap Magnetic tech
All Pixel 10 will be equipped with Pixelsnap, a magnetic system similar to Apple MagSafe. It makes it easy to attach chargers, stands and accessories. The new phones also enable the wireless charging speed of 25W, which enhances convenience for the user.
AI Features: Camera Coach, Magic Cue and more
Google has added new AI functionality to improve user experience. Camera Coach instructs users on how to use angles and lighting in order to take better pictures in real time. A conversational editing tool also allows the users to request Gemini to manipulate photos using simple voice commands.
Other additions include Magic Cue, which allows users to do fast actions across apps, such as Gmail and Messages, by bringing up relevant information, such as reservations or reminders. The functionality is enabled by Tensor G5 and Gemini Nano and provides privacy of data and user-controlled settings.
Fitbit AI Health Coach
Google is also adding an AI-based health coach to the Fitbit app. It will offer individualised workout plans, adaptive routines, and sleep routines and launches in October. The coach will interact with Pixel Watches and Fitbit trackers as well, and it adds another layer of artificial intelligence to the Google health ecosystem.
