Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella creates personal cricket analysis app using deep research AI

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has built an AI-powered cricket analysis app in his free time, combining his love for coding and the sport. The tool helps him study the game and aligns with his growing investments in cricket teams, including London Spirit and Seattle Orcas.

Nadella highlighted Microsoft’s $17.5 billion commitment to AI and cloud expansion in the country.

New Delhi: Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella has disclosed that when in idle time he spends time writing his own cricket analysis application using Deep Research AI. As a lifelong cricket fan, Nadella developed the tool after taking time to study the sport during Thanksgiving to the point of selecting an all-time Indian Test cricket team. He claimed that it was an insightful and fun experience because the system created consensus areas, debates, chains of reasoning, etc.

The application is related to the growing participation of Nadella in the world of cricket. He owns a consortium which purchased 49 per cent of the ownership of the London Spirit, located in the UK, and is also a joint owner of the London Orcas, based in Seattle in the U.S. With him meeting with business and political leaders in India this week, Microsoft has declared that it would invest in AI and cloud computing to the value of $17.5 billion within four years.

Nadella merged his enthusiasm for code writing and cricket to test the way AI can decode the game. He noted that the project provided him with practical experience regarding AI reasoning systems.

Nadella, during his visit, highlighted Indian contribution in the growth plans of Microsoft. The $17.5 billion investment by the company is meant to increase the AI and cloud capacities in the country.
