Both fans and critics overwhelmed social media with responses, some applauding the wit of Samsung, others defending the innovativeness of Apple. This recent tussle reminds us of the intense rivalry between the two technology powerhouses.
Samsung’s playful dig goes viral
The post on X by Samsung created a hype on the internet as it gathered thousands of likes and retweets in hours. The hashtag #iCant was trending on Twitter as people explained the superiority or inferiority of foldable phones against that of the smooth but conventional form of Apple. Galaxy Z Fold 7, which has a 12.4-inch display and exploits AI, was directly posed against the iPhone 17 Air. According to industry analysts, the trolling by Samsung is a strategic one to emphasise its foldable technology that Apple cannot keep up with until 2026.
Apple’s iPhone 17 Air steals the show
The iPhone 17 line, especially the Air, was applauded because of its 5.6-millimetre thinness and A19 Pro chip.
