London: A video of Lalit Modi and Vijay Mallya singing Frank Sinatra’s iconic song “I Did It My Way” at a grand party in London has caught the internet’s attention. The clip, shared by Lalit Modi himself on Instagram, quickly went viral, drawing mixed reactions due to the ongoing legal cases involving both men in India.

The event was attended by more than 310 guests, including close friends and family members who flew in from across the globe. Among the guests was former Royal Challengers Bengaluru cricketer Chris Gayle, who posted a photo with Lalit Modi and Mallya on his Instagram story. He captioned it, “We are living it up. Thanks for a lovely evening,” tagging both hosts.

Lalit Modi, known for launching the Indian Premier League (IPL), has been living in the United Kingdom since 2010 after being suspended by the BCCI. He faces several charges in India, including bid rigging, accepting kickbacks, money laundering, and violating foreign exchange laws.

Vijay Mallya, once famous for his luxury lifestyle and dubbed the “King of Good Times,” is also wanted in India. He owes over Rs 9,000 crore to banks and is accused of fraud and money laundering. Mallya was arrested in London in 2017 on India’s extradition request and is currently out on bail. He has denied all charges and claims the allegations are politically motivated.

In the viral video, both men appear relaxed and cheerful as they sing a song widely interpreted as a message of defiance. Lalit Modi captioned the post, “Had an amazing night with 310 friends and family... Hope this video doesn’t break the internet. Controversial for sure. But that’s what I do best.”
