Dodge Charger’s wild version, Ram 1500 V8, to be unveiled at SEMA

New Delhi: With 2025 being a year of nostalgia, Stellantis are correcting their course and doing their best to win back the American audience. Following a reshuffling of the management, Tim Kuniskis is back at the helm of Ram Trucks as the CEO, and he has brought back the 5.7-litre Hemi V8 to the 1500 pickup portfolio, following a year of being absent. 

Hence, the truck sales have definitely gone up with the V8 models making a big impact. The talks have been afloat for a while about the Hemi V8 being put in the new Charger, and it is natural for Stellantis to keep pushing while the brand has momentum. 

Which is why the automakers have been preparing for a range of customised vehicles in conjunction with their in-house performance brand, Mopar. There are teasers of the two concepts that are likely to be shown soon. 

The preview, coming in the early parts of October, showed a Dodge Charger being painted in a new hue of Purple. The colour is likely used on a Charger Scat Pack Sixpack, the ICE vehicle. Other details include a bulging black hood that comes with a sharp contrast to the illuminating badge and rims that are definitely not stock.

The second preview is the 2026 Ram 1500, coming with an equally outrageous paint finish called Sublime Green. It is likely to come with V8, and the front fender seems to sit very close to the tyre, hinting it has been lowered. Stellantis are keeping their card close and little is known except that is coming in collaboration with Mopar. All will be revealed in November at the SEMA event in Las Vegas. 

For Stellantis, there is obviously a need to turn around their business, as the brands under their umbrella are not performing particularly well globally. However, the V8's return does mean some good news for fans.
