New Delhi: The XDiavel V4 is the easy-going cousin of the Diavel X4, not by power but by ergonomics. Earlier this year, Ducati revealed it to the world, and Ducati India have teased the XDiavel V4 on their social media channels before its scheduled launch in the country.

Mechanically speaking, the XDiavel V4 and Diavel V4 are identical. Unlike the previous belt-driven, V-twin XDiavel 1260, the latest XDiavel continues with the chain-drive configuration used on the Diavel V4. It takes power from the same 1,158cc V4 engine as the Diavel V4, which produces identical figures of 168hp and 126Nm of torque. Even the braking system and suspension components are shared by the two models.

What sets the XDiavel apart is the much more easy-going riding posture, achieved through a relaxed rider triangle and front-mounted footpegs. It also comes with uniquely styled alloy wheels. The profile appears much smoother and more cohesive as opposed to the sharper, more angular design of the Diavel V4.

Ducati XDiavel V4 specs and features

The XDiavel V4 is Ducati’s take on a cruiser, and comes with features like forward-mounted footpegs along with a swept-back handlebar to create a more relaxed riding position, while mid-mounted footpegs will also be offered as an optional extra. Ducati have said they have improved pillion comfort as well, with a wider and more supportive rear seat. The XDiavel V4 has a seat height of 770mm, which is 20mm lower than the Diavel V4. In global specification, it weighs 226kg without fuel, a little more than the Diavel V4

The electronic package is largely shared with the Diavel V4, with one significant difference: the XDiavel V4 features the same 6.9-inch TFT display found on the latest Panigale and Streetfighter V4 models. Bookings for the XDiavel V4 are now open, and it is expected to be priced above the Diavel V4, which is currently priced at Rs 29.08 lakh.
