Harley Davidson launch X440 T at Rs 2.79 lakh, with Denim trim discontinued
Harley-Davidson have launched the flagship X440 T, co-developed with Hero MotoCorp, with the entire H-D X440 now getting alloy wheels as standard.
New Delhi: Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson have launched a new flagship, co-developed premium motorcycle portfolio with the launch of the H-D X440T. Placed above the existing previous variants, the X440T is priced at Rs 2.79 lakh and comes with a reworked back end as well as a set of new electronic features.
The X440 T brings ride-by-wire capability to the platform for the first time and also brings two riding modes, the Road and Rain. It also comes with switchable traction control and switchable back ABS, and added to this is the Panic Braking alert system. Harley-Davidson re-engineered the back subframe for the X440T, coming with an all-new tail section and redesigned grab handles to improve pillion comfort.
Changes brought in the Harley Davidson X440 T
Due to the rear subframe’s design changes, the standard X440 Vivid and S trims stand apart from the T visually. One of the big upgrades in the back three-quarter design also addresses a criticism, which is that the setup is more proportionate and reduces the visual gap between the rear wheel and the fender and giving the bike a more cohesive along very angular stance. The kerb weight is 192 kg, which is 1.5 kg more than the X440.
The X440 T is powered by a 440cc, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine like the X440, making 27 bhp and 38 Nm of torque, and is paired with a six-speed gearbox.
With this being the new top variant, Hero and Harley have discontinued the earlier Denim trim, which was the only X440 model that came with spoke wheels. That also means the entire H-D X440 is now getting alloy wheels as standard.
The revised price range now starts at Rs 2.34 lakh for the X440 Vivid, Rs 2.55 lakh for the X440 S, and goes up to Rs 2.79 lakh for the top-spec X440 T. The X440 T is available in four colours, which are Black, Red, Blue, and White.
Bookings for the X440 T will start on December 7th at Harley-Davidson and Hero Premia outlets, and can also be booked online through the official X440 website.
