Mini SUV

It has been a trend for almost five years now that the Indian market has shifted from compact hatchbacks to mini SUVs. These are cheaper and yet feel the stance of an SUV with a certain premiumness. It was no different again this year, with Hyundai giving a long-overdue update to the Venue along with new launches that included the Renault Kiger and the Kia Syros.

3) Black editions

This year has been a year of black edition, which included the Citroen Basalt Dark Edition, Harrier.ev matte black edition and the lot. Further, we have seen some amazing dual-tone roof options and special editions and accessories. The interior theme packs have been interesting to watch as well.

With a target for over 100 countries that will have the e-Vitara in the market, the qualities of the cars have improved. Its not just Maruti of course. Mahindra has been there across the globe, and so has Tata, who recently re-entered the South African market as well, with Mahindra having entered the market last year.

1) 3-screen interior

The three-screen is one of the trends that seems to be catching up this year by huge margins. The newly launched Tata Sierra and Mahindra XEV 9S have jumped onto this bandwagon, and while it might or might not catch up eventually, the customers have been interested in its functionality.
