New Delhi: Kawasaki have brought out the 2026 version of the Ninja 650, updating its well-known middleweight sport-touring motorcycle to comply with E20 fuel compatibility norms.

The 2026 Ninja 650 is still powered by the 649cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, now redesigned to run on E20-blended fuel. Performance figures remain unchanged, coming with 68hp at 8,000rpm and 62.1 Nm of torque at 6,700rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed transmission and benefits from an assist-and-slipper clutch for smoother downshifts and reduced lever effort.

The chassis hardware carries over as well, with suspension duties handled by a 41mm telescopic fork at the front and a rear monoshock. Braking is managed by twin 300mm discs up front, and a single 220mm disc at the rear, with dual-channel ABS offered as standard.

Top Features continue to include a 4.3-inch full-colour TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity through Kawasaki’s Rideology app, along with the brand’s switchable Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC) system.

For the 2026 model year, the Ninja 650 is offered in just Lime Green colour option, though it now comes with updated graphics that were first seen on the international-spec model unveiled earlier this year. It will be priced at Rs 7.91 lakh (ex-showroom). The latest version commands a premium of Rs 14,000 over the outgoing version, yet remains significantly more affordable than rivals such as the Honda CBR650R, which is priced at Rs 11.16 lakh.
