New Delhi: KTM have unveiled the 2026 990 Duke in Europe, coming with fresh colours to the naked monster but without any mechanical alterations to the bike. It comes with the same 122-bhp making parallel-twin engine coming with a new white-black orange colour scheme that reminds one of the old racing liveries from the Austrian bike maker.

The bike still comes with an aggressive design that it has always been synonymous with, and still has the angular headlamp unit flanked by the sharp tank shrouds that expand from the sculpted fuel tank. The tail section still comes with upswept and compact, which makes it more of a forward-leaning stance. The 2026 990 Duke comes with a white exterior paint scheme and contrasting black and orange highlights, reminiscent of the first small-capacity Dukes that came to India.

In terms of engine, the KTM 990 will still be powered by the 947 cc parallel-twin engine paired with a six-speed gearbox that makes 122 bhp and 103 Nm of torque. There is no change to the gear ratio or the tuning. The engine still functions as a stressed member of a steel trellis frame with completely adjustable WPApex front forks and monoshick.

The bike comes with 17-inch cast aluminium alloys fitted with two mounted 4-pot callipers clutching the dual 300 mm floating front disks and a single-piston floating calliper on the 240 mm rear disc.

Technically, it is the same, and the 990 Duke comes with ride-by-wire, with which riders have three standard ride modes, Street, Rain and Sport, while Track Performance can be added on as an added option. The bike further comes with launch control, traction control and lean-sensitive ABS. All of this can be set up through the new 5-inch bonded glass and TFT dashboard with optional KTMConnect for navigation, call/SMS and media controls.

While the pricing hasn’t been announced for India, nor has the launch date. KTM already sells the 890 Duke R and 1390 Super Duke R in the country, and with Bajaj taking over, it might see the new model come to this side of the shore as well.
