New Delhi: TVS have confirmed that the Ntorq 150 will be launched on September 4th. Ntorq has set a standard amidst the Indian-made sporty 125 cc scooters, and TVS are looking to take the next step with the higher-displacement version of the model, with the 150-170 cc scooter segment seeing a steady growth more recently.

There have been quite a few models from TVS rivals with models like Aprilia SR 175 and the liquid-cooled models Hero Xoom 160 and Yamaha Aerox 155, which had a FY 2025 sale of 22,928 units, going up 24 per cent year-on-year. The forthcoming Ntorq will be TVS's first venture in this segment.

Of course, what remains to be seen is if the Ntorq 150 will use a liquid-cooled or air-cooled engine. If it comes with a liquid-cooled motor, then it will be getting a performance edge against Aerox and Xoom while air-cooled would mean that the price remains competitive.

As of now, TVS has only shown a teaser image with the scooter’s front apron only in view, which have been highlighted by the bold quad-LED headlamp cluster with a distinctive split design. What is clear is that the Ntorq will largely remain unchanged with its aggressive, performance-oriented styling that it will take from its 125 cc sibling.

The bigger engine, along with regulations that apply to the scooter above 150 cc, the Ntorq 150 will also be coming with at least single-channel ABS. The Yamaha Aerox 155 is priced at Rs 1.51 lakh, and Hero Xoom 160 comes at Rs 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom), which means the Ntorq will be priced in the same region.
