Suzlon-Tata Power Renewable Energy sign mega deal: Retail investors’ darling stock in focus

Suzlon Energy on September 16, 2205 confirmed bagging a 838 MW order from Tata Power Renewable Energy. The Suzlon shares were trading at Rs Rs 59.28 per equity share. In April 2025, NTPC Green Energy awarded 1,544 MW Wind projects including a new 378 MW order to Suzlon.

New Delhi: The shares of Suzlon Group are in the news on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, after renewable energy services provider bagged an 838 MW order from Tata Power Renewable Energy. Notably, the project is Suzlon’s largest order of this fiscal year, as part of its firm and dispatchable renewable energy project.

The 838 MW project awarded by Tata Power will include 266 of Suzlon's S144 wind turbines, with each turbine having a rated capacity of 3.15 MW. The project will be spread across Karnataka (302 MW), Maharashtra (271 MW), and Tamil Nadu (265 MW). The project is part of the FDRE bids awarded to SJVN and NTPC.

Suzlon Energy book & Q1 FY26 Results

Notably, Suzlon bagged a mega deal from NTPC Green Energy Ltd (NGEL) for a 378 MW wind energy project. As per the deal, the wind energy services provider will supply 120 S144 Wind Turbine Generators (WTG) with Hybrid Lattice Towers (HLT) each with a rated capacity of 3.15 MW.

In September 2025, Suzlon Group, India's No.1 Wind Energy Solutions provider, informed that its turbine model, the S144, became India's First Lowest Carbon Footprint Wind Turbine Solution.

In its April-June quarter results for 2025-26, Suzlon Energy posted 62 per cent increase in EBITDA at Rs 599 crore. In Q1 for FY26, the company’s Profit before taxes stood at Rs 459 crore, while Profit After Tax (PAT) was recorded at Rs 324 crore.

In its financials, Suzlon Energy registered consistent growth in the last 10 quarters. It stated that it recorded the highest-ever Q1 deliveries of 444 MW. 1 GW of orders received; 5.7 GW order book (75% C&I & PSU orders). Net cash position at Rs 1,620 crore as of June 30, 25.
