New Delhi: The government is likely to go ahead with the presentation of the Union Budget 2026-27 on February 1 (Sunday), sources told CNBC-TV18. The government is yet to officially announce the dates of the Budget Session of Parliament.

The media report quoted sources saying that the preparations for the Budget presentation are moving ahead on the assumption that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the Budget on 1st February, which is a Sunday. Usually, the Parliament and Stock Markets observe a holiday on Sunday and that is why people are curious whether the Budget will be announced on the customary date or not.
