Bihar BSSC Stenographer Recruitment 2025: Registration begins for 432 posts; apply by November 3

The Bihar Stenographer recruitment selection process involves a written test, a practical stenography exam, document verification and a medical exam. The appointed candidates will receive a monthly between Rs 25,500 to Rs 81,100.

New Delhi: The Bihar Staff Selection Commission has commenced the application process for Bihar Stenographer or Steno-Typist Grade 3 vacancies. Class 12 pass candidates can apply for the Bihar BSSC Stenographer recruitment 2025 till November 3. The application link is available on the official website, bssc.bihar.gov.in.

The Bihar Stenographer or Steno-Typist Grade 3 selection process comprises a written test, a practical stenography exam, document verification and a medical exam. After the final selection, the appointed candidates will receive a monthly salary under Level-4 of the pay matrix of Rs 25,500 to Rs 81,100.

Bihar BSSC Stenographer recruitment 2025 eligibility

Those who fulfil the below minimum eligibility requirements can apply for the Stenographer vacant positions-

  • Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent from a recognised institute.
  • A Maulvi certificate, an ITI course certificate or a Polytechnic diploma is also necessary.
  • Candidates must have proficiency in Hindi or English stenography, typing and basic computer operations.
  • The age of the candidate needs to be between 21 to 37 years as of August 1, 2025. There is age relaxation for the reserved category candidates.

Bihar Stenographer recruitment 2025 application documents required

Candidates need to upload the following documents during the application process-

  • Class 20 marksheet and certificate
  • Class 12 or equivalent mark sheet and certificate
  • Permanent residence or residential certificate
  • Caste certificate, Non-creamy layer certificate or Economically Weaker Section (EWS) certificate
  • Certificate for being the grandson or granddaughter of a freedom fighter
  • Disability certificate (if any)
  • Certificate from competent authority for upper age limit relaxation for government servants or ex-servicemen

The BSSC Stenographer selection process includes multiple stages. This selection process ensures that eligible and skilled candidates are appointed for the posts. The stages of the selection round involve-

  • A written exam which tests the candidates' general awareness and language proficiency.
  • Practical stenography and typing test that measures speed and accuracy.
  • A document verification round to check the educational qualifications and eligibility of the candidate.
