CBSE Recruitment 2026: Application edit facility for assistant professor, director posts starts on December 29
The final correction can be made only after payment of additional fees, if required. If the changes affect the fee amount, candidates will be required to pay the excess fee accordingly. Candidates need to note thar excess payment made, if any, will not be refunded.
New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will start the Direct Recruitment Quota Examination (DRQ) 2026 application edit process from December 29. The correction facility will remain active till December 30, 2025 till 12 noon. The application edit link will be available on the official website, cbse.gov.in.
The board has clarified that this facility is only for candidates who have completed the application process and paid the requisite exam fee within the given date.
CBSE direct recruitment 2026 application correction dates
According to the official notification, a two-day edit time duration has been provided to enable candidates to correct or modify the incorrect details entered in the online application form.
Candidates must review the details carefully before final submission of the application. Applicants need to note that any correction that results in a change in the application fee will require candidates to pay the additional amount. In such cases, the final correction will be applicable only after the excess fee is paid. Any extra payment made earlier will not be refunded.
CBSE DRQ 2026 posts
The CBSE Direct Recruitment Quota Examination 2026 is being conducted for recruitment to several academic and administrative posts including assistant professor, assistant director and other related positions. Only candidates who have completed the application process with fee payment will be eligible to use the correction facility. Applicants who have not submitted the forms successfully will not be allowed to make any edits.
CBSE Direct Recruitment Application 2026: Details that can be edited
The fields that can be edited during the correction timeline are the name (as per Class 10 certificates), parents’ names, gender, nationality, educational qualifications, address details and upload corrected photographs or signatures if the earlier images were not clear. Applicants can also modify the option to apply for multiple posts subject to a fee adjustment.
However, details such as registered mobile number, email ID, exam city preference, application number, date of birth, category or sub-category and identity proof details cannot be changed.
