New Delhi: The Jharkhand Public Service Commission has released the JPSC Jharkhand Eligibility Test (JET) 2025 notification. Interested and eligible candidates can fill out the JPSC JET 2025 exam application from September 16. The application link is available on the official website of the commission at jpsc.gov.in. The last date to complete the registration and application is October 6. The JPSC JET application correction can be done between October 8 to October 10, 2025. 

The Jharkhand JET exam is held to shortlist candidates for appointment as Assistant Professors and for admission to Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programmes in the institutes across Jharkhand. The JET certificate is valid for a lifetime.

JPSC JET 2025 application fee

The JPSC JET application fee payment last date is October 7. For Unreserved (UR) category candidates, the application fee is Rs 575. The Backward Class (BC) 1, BC 2 and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category candidates need to pay Rs 300 as the application fee. For the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) and third gender category candidates of Jharkhand the application fee is Rs 150.

JPSC JET eligibility requirements 2025

To be eligibility for the JPSC JET 2025 exam candidates need to fulfil the below requirements-

  • Master’s degree or equivalent qualification from a UGC-recognised institution. For unreserved and EWS catgegory candidates the passing marks required is 55 per cent. For reserved category candidates, the minimum required passing marks is 50 per cent.
  • Students who are in the final year of the master’s degree, or those awaiting results, can also apply. However, he or she will be considered for appointment as Assistant Professor or admission to PhD only after completing their degree with the required marks.
  • PhD holders whose master’s degree was completed on or before September 19, 1991, are eligible for a relaxation of 5 per cent in the required aggregate marks.
  • Candidates who have already qualified JET in a subject cannot reapply for the test in the same subject.

JPSC JET exam pattern 2025

The examination will have two papers conducted in OMR-based pen-and-paper mode. Paper 1 will carry 100 marks with 50 questions, focusing on teaching and research aptitude, reasoning ability, reading comprehension, divergent thinking, and general awareness.

Paper 2 will carry 200 marks with 100 subject-specific questions designed to test domain knowledge. The total duration of the test will be three hours and all questions will be compulsory.
