New Delhi: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the recruitment notification for the General Duty (Constable). It has released the SSC GD recruitment notification 2026 for the posts of Constable in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), Rifleman in Assam Rifles, and Sepoy in the Narcotics Control Bureau. The SSC GD 2026 notification was out for a total of 25,487 vacancies.
All the interested candidates who meet the eligibility conditions set by the Commission can apply online for the SSC GD Constable recruitment 2026 through the official portal at ssc.gov.in. The SSC GD Constable application form will be available from December 1 to 31, 2025. The last date to pay the application fee is January 1, 2026. The Commission has allowed candidates to edit their SSC GD application form from January 8 to 10, 2026. The online written examination will be held in February-April 2026.

Candidates must meet all the prerequisites set by the SSC to apply online for the SSC GD 2025 examination. Aspirants must pass class 10 from a recognised board or university. The age limit is 18 to 23 years as on January 1, 2026. Candidates belonging to SC/ST, OBC, Ex-servicemen and other categories will be provided the upper age relaxation.
The selection of candidates will be based on the written examination followed by physical tests. All the shortlisted candidates will get a salary as per the Pay Level -1 (Rs 18,000 to Rs 56,900) for the post of Sepoy in NCB. For all other posts, the Pay Level – 3 (Rs 21,700 to Rs 69,100).
