UP Police Recruitment 2025: UPPRPB makes OTR mandatory for recruitment exam; here's how to apply

Over 2.5 lakh candidates have completed the OTR process for recruitment to 4,543 Sub-Inspector (SI) and equivalent posts in the Uttar Pradesh Police.

The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has now made the One-Time Registration (OTR) system mandatory all future UP Police recruitment exam, including Sub-Inspector (SI), Constable, and other vacancies. The UP Police OTR registration 2025 has officially started and over 2.5 lakh candidates have completed the registration.The board has informaed that without the UP Police OTR registration, candidate will not be allowed to apply for UP Police upcoming recruitments.

Each applicant must register with a unique email ID and unique mobile number, which will remain unchanged throughout the exam process. Applicants need to note that only details recorded in the Class 10 or equivalent will be considered valid for OTR.

UP Police OTR registration 2025 process 

The UP Police OTR registration can be done by following the below mentioned steps-

  • Step 1: Go to the official UPPRPB board, uppbpb.gov.in
  • Step 2: On the homepage click othe OTR registration link.
  • Step 3: Fill the necessary details such as name, father’s name, date of birth, gender, and contact information.
  • Step 4: Upload the scanned copies of the necessary documents such as educational certificates, identity proof and passport-size photographs.
  • Step 5: Check the details properly and then click on submit.
  • Step 6: Once done, download and save the confirmation page for records.

If there is any issues during the registration process, candidates must call the UPPRPB helpline number at 1800 9110 005 between 10 AM to 7 PM.

The important documents required for the UP Police One Time Registration include-

  • A valid email ID
  • Mobile number
  • Class 10 marksheet and certiifcate
  • Details of any one of the indentity proof such as Aadhaar, DigiLocker, driving licence, PAN Card or passport
  • Recent passport-size photograph
  • Scanned signature
  • Category certificate (if any)
  • Disability certificate (if any)
