New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission has announced the UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025 interview schedule. A total of 649 candidates who have qualified CSE Mains have been shortlisted for the UPSC CSE personal interview (PI) round. In the UPSC PI schedule 2025, the roll number of the candidate, date and session of the interview are mentioned. The interview is scheduled to be conducted between December 8 to December 19, 2025.
After qualifying the UPSC CSE preliminary and mains exams, 2,736 candidates can now appear for the interview round. However, the commission has announced the interview schedule for 649 candidates, which is currently out of the total qualified candidates. The dates for the remaining candidates will be announced later by the commission.
As per the schedule, the interview round will be conducted in two sessions. The forenoon session will commence from 9 AM and the afternoon session from 1 PM. 'No request for change in the date and time of the Personality Test (Interview) intimated to the candidates will ordinarily be entertained,' the commission stated through an official notice.
The UPSC CSE e-summon letters of personality tests for these candidates will be uploaded shortly on the official website, upsc.gov.in and upsconline.gov.in.
Candidates need to note that the travelling expenses for the interview will be reimbursed. However, it will be restricted only to the second-class and sleeper class train fares. The comission stated, 'The candidates will have to submit hard copies/Print out of both ways tickets, showing the details of far alongwith the prescribed T.A. contribution claim form duly filled in duplicate. The TA bill forms are available at https:/www.upsc.gov.in/forms-downloads.'
In the UPSC CSE, the interview round also called the personality test is attended by candidates who qualify the Mains exam. Only those candidates who clear all the papers of the UPSC Mains written exam and score above the official cut-off are called for the interview. The interview stage is the final stage of the UPSC CSE.
