Kavitha: Wrong of KTR to find faults with SIT questioning in phone-tapping case
Kavitha said that she appeared before the ED and CBI in the case related to Delhi excise policy scam, even though she did nothing wrong.
Hyderabad: Former BRS MLC and Telangana Jagruthi President K Kavitha said that SIT investigation into the phone-tapping case should be concluded quickly and that culprits should be punished.
Speaking at a press conference in the city, she stated that she expects former Chief Minister KCR to reveal what transpired in the SIT investigation and that it is wrong of KTR to find fault with the probe.
"It is not right for KTR to find faults about the SIT investigation. He spoke as if calling for an investigation is a crime. When you are in public life, there will be many issues. Everyone should respect the laws. Cooperate. I suspect that my phone and my husband's phones were also tapped.”
She further stated that if the SIT officials call her for an investigation, she would cooperate. Kavitha said that she appeared before the ED and CBI in the case related to Delhi excise policy scam, even though she did nothing wrong. "No one can save the BRS unless they change their way of thinking.”
Her comments come after KTR claimed that the phone-tapping investigation is frivolous and there was nothing to it.

She alleged that the truth behind phone-tapping might never emerge as there is match-fixing between the Congress government and BRS MLA, T Harish Rao.
Kavitha was suspended from the BRS in September 2025 after she accused her cousins T Harish Rao, J Santosh Kumar of spoiling the reputation of her father over Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project.
