JEE Main 2026 exam dates announced; check advisory here

The NTA will be conducting the JEE Main 2026 session 1 exams from January 21 to 30, 2026. The JEE Main 2026 session 2 exams will be held from April 1 to 10, 2026.

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2026 exam schedule for session 1 and session 2 today, October 19. It has released the advisory for JEE Main 2026 on the official portal at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The JEE Main entrance exam will be conducted in two sessions - January and April. The JEE Main 2026 session 1 exams will be held between January 21 and 30, 2026. The JEE Main 2026 session 2 exams will be conducted from April 1 to 10, 2026. 

The NTA has announced that the JEE Main 2026 session 1 online registration window for submission of the application form will be available in October 2025. The online registration for JEE Main 2026 April session will begin in the last week of January 2026. The exam authority will announce the registration and other details while releasing the information bulletin.

In the official notification, NTA has announced that it is working towards increasing the number of cities to increase participation in the entrance exam. The NTA is likely to release the JEE Main 2026 registration for Session 1 this week. Aspirants are suggested to keep following the official website for latest updates. 

What is the role of Aadhaar in JEE Main registration?

With an aim to minimise the procedural difficulties in the JEE Main registration process, the NTA has issued an advisory regarding the Aadhaar authentication. The details such as the Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Photograph and Address will be generated from UIDAI through Aadhaar Authentication. In case the father/ mother/guardian's name, etc not updated, candidates have to fill their details separately in the online application form.
