New Delhi: The Ministry of Education has released the 10th edition of the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). It has released NIRF Rankings 2025 for all categories on September 4. The list of top institutions in each category will be available on the official website of NIRF at nirfindia.org.
Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan has released the NIRF rankings 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. India Rankings, also known as NIRF Rankings, is an annual exercise that evaluates and ranks institutions of higher education across the country. The event was also graced by the Minister of Education for State Sukanta Majumder, Higher Education Secretary Vineet Joshi and others.
This year, the education ministry has decided to introduce a new criterion, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which aligns with the vision of NEP 2020. The India rankings 2025 was released in nine categories: Overall, Universities, Colleges, Research Institutions, Innovation, State Public Universities, Open Universities, Skill Universities, and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The rankings were also released for a total of eight subject domains, including Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, Medical, Architecture & Planning, Law, Dental, and Agriculture & Allied Sectors.
