Bobby Deol reveals he was ignored after flops; says I don’t hold grudges
Bobby Deol has been killing it with his fabulous performances recently. Appearing on Shubhankar Mishra's podcast, he recollected a time he was ignored by many in the industry.
Mumbai: Bobby Deol has experienced both the highs and lows of being an actor. Recently, the actor revealed he was ignored by many during his turbulent times in the industry. However, he claimed that the tables have now turned.
Appearing on Shubhankar Mishra’s podcast, Deol recollected how people's attitude towards him started changing after his movies began failing at the box office.
"This was a slow process. For instance, people would meet me nicely, but they would soon go away and form their own groups, and I would be left alone. The number of invitations I got for parties started to decrease. It’s not like I would go to a lot of parties anyway. We Deols don’t go to a lot of parties. The same people who would be so warm with me (when I was at the top) started ignoring me. But that’s what they say; people are with you as long as you have something to offer," said the actor.
Despite the bad experiences, Deol stated that he does not hold grudges against anyone. He also added that his recent success has got him offers from the same group of people who once ignored him.
"It happened, and it happens in every industry, not just mine. But I don’t hold grudges. The same people come to me now with offers, but I don’t hold anything against them," said the actor.
Bobby Deol's recent hit projects
Deol's work opportunities faded after a bunch of movies flopped in the 2000s and 2010s. However, the actor made an unexpected comeback in recent years. It started with Prakash Jha’s web series Aashram. The actor then starred in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s blockbuster, Animal. Following the magnanimous success of the movie, Deol was most recently seen in Aryan Khan’s The Ba***ds of Bollywood.
