New Delhi: After much-anticipation, the wait is finally over. Rajinikanth-starrer Coolie has finally hit the theatres on Thursday (August 14). As some of the cine-goers have already watched early morning shows in theatres, have shared their reviews on social media. According to the posts on X (formerly Twitter), the film has left audiences unimpressed with many criticising the screenplay.
Some netizens have even called Aamir Khan’s cameo "not a standout moment”. However, Rajinikanth’s performance is being hailed and his entry in the film created a storm in several theatres across Tamil Nadu.

Rajinikanth’s Coolie is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. The film also stars Nagarjuna, Shruti Haasan, Aamir Khan, Upendra, Sathyaraj, and Soubin Shahir. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film has already crossed Rs 100 crore mark for its opening weekend in its advance booking sales. The film is also clashing at the box office with Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR starrer War 2, produced by YRF and directed by Ayan Mukerji.
