Mumbai: Actresses today have been vocal about women's reproductive choices and have empowered others in society to take control and express themselves. From extensively talking about egg freezing to addressing the various fertility issues, they have managed to break the taboo around women's reproductive health.

Priyanka Chopra 

Priyanka Chopra, one of the most influential stars in the world, once spoke of what motivated her to think about freezing her eggs. The actress said that she hadn't met the one for her in her 30s and decided to freeze her eggs. The decision gave her the liberty to go after her career goals at the time. 

Ekta Kapoor 

Ekta Kapoor, mother of one, turned to egg freezing after IVF and IUI procedures failed. Kapoor went to have her son, Ravie Kapoor, through surrogacy. "I had stored my eggs when I was 36. Had a calling for a long time, I don’t know what was it. I don’t know, I thought I might get married, might not. Very late, if it happens. Or it may never happen because I am not gonna do anything just for the sake of it. I have always been such a nonconformist, there was no way I would...(conform to marriage),” said Kapoor. 

Mona Singh 

The Made in Heaven actress said that she decided to freeze her eggs ages ago. But finally did it at the age of 34. The actress revealed that she was motivated by her desire to travel with her husband before leaping into parenthood. "I have frozen my eggs and now I am free. I did that at the age of 34. Because I have gotten married now, I want to chill with my partner and travel the world with him. I haven’t done that yet. I have always travelled with my family or friends. I want to do that with my husband now and it is a different feeling now -- going for walks, getting all the attention, keeping Karwa Chauth vrat – all this is so nice. Even though I love kids, if you ask me now, I am not mentally prepared to have one. Later in life, I would definitely think about it,” said the actress. 

Mrunal Thakur

The actress recently talked about her decision to freeze her eggs. She also stressed the importance of having a partner who understands her demanding profession. "Freezing eggs, yes, I’m also considering that," said Thakur. 

Kristen Stewart

The Hollywood actress, who got engaged to Dylan Meyer, in 2021, said she decided to freeze her eggs. She stated that they decided to opt it in case they decide to have kids in the future. However, she claimed that the process was annoying.
