New Delhi: After two attacks at the Kapil Sharma’s Canada café, Kap’s Café, and a death threat message, Mumbai Police has provided security cover to the comedian. The latest firing occurred in the early hours of Thursday (August 7), in the Newton neighbourhood.
After 25 shots were fired at Kapil Sharma Café in Cannada, Surrey, the police said in a statement, “At approximately 4:40 am on August 7, 2025, SPS Frontline officers responded to a report of shots fired outside a business in the 8400 block of 120 Street.” The responsibility for both the firings were taken by Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
Mumbai Police have provided security to Kapil Sharma after two firing incidents at the Kap’s Café. In a statement, police confirmed to ANI, “We are taking utmost precaution. We can’t share the security details of the individual but we can say that preparations have been made so that no harm can be inflicted on the individual.”
Earlier, a member of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, Harry Boxer said in an audio clip, “Next time, any director, producer, or artist, if they don’t take our warning, we will shoot straight in the chest. This is a warning to everyone in Mumbai, all artists and producers. We will ruin the atmosphere in Mumbai beyond what you can imagine in your life. If anyone works with Salman, whether a small-time artist or a small-time director, we will not spare them. We will kill them. We will go to any extent to kill them. If anyone works with Salman Khan, they will be responsible for their own death."
On August 7, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang members fired shots at the Kap’s Café for the second time. The incident follows a similar shooting at the same venue on July 10, 2025. Meanwhile, police has launched an investigation.
