New Delhi: Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi-starrer Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, created quite a buzz on social media after the launch of its first glimpse video. Now, the reports of the star cast's salary have started to do the rounds on social media, and Ranbir Kapoor’s remuneration for the two parts of the film will make your jaws drop.
Nitesh Tiwari’s directorial is scheduled to be released in two parts, while the first instalment will be released in Diwali 2026, the second part will be released in Diwali 2027. The film also stars Yash, Sunny Deol, Ravi Dubey, Kajal Aggarwal, Lara Dutta, Arun Govil, and Kunal Kapoor, among others.
According to the reports, Ranbir Kapoor has become the highest-paid actor in the Hindi film industry with the much-awaited movie. Reportedly, he is charging Rs 70-75 crore per movie, which means he will earn close to Rs 150 crore for both parts for portraying the role of Lord Rama.
On the other hand, the actor and producer of Ramayana, Yash, popularly known for the KGF series, is charging Rs 50 crore per instalment to play Ravana. It is also being said that his role as Ravana in Part One is limited while he will take over the big screens in Part Two.
Sunny Deol, reportedly, is charging Rs 20 crore per part for the movie while Sai Pallavi and Ravi Dubey are said to be charging Rs 2 to Rs 4 crore per part.
Produced by Namit Malhotra and co-produced by Yash, the movie’s VFX is handled by the eight-time Oscar-winning VFX company. It is reportedly being made on a massive budget of Rs 1,700 crore. While the shooting for the first part is wrapped up, the filming of the second part will begin in August this year.
